Speaker Topic: Social Media Rules of Engagement

Speaker: Rachel Strella, Central PA Webster

Didn't your mother ever tell you not to tweet with your mouth full?  Well, seeing as how social media is so new, she probably didn’t. But, just like anything else social media has rules and etiquette that, if not followed, can negatively impact your reputation and even your business. And, seeing as how what’s viewed on social media has the potential to reach thousands, even millions of people, the stakes are higher. In this presentation, I’ll discuss these rules engagement, how they vary depend on which form of social media you’re using, and the difference depending on if you’re using a business page or a personal page.

Rachel Strella is the Founder and CEO of Central PA Webster, LLC, a company specializing in social media management. In August, Rachel released Social Media Manager Profits™, a national product that offers training to those interested in a becoming social media manager. This seven-part series offers a step-by-step guidance on how to create a profitable online business. She is also an expert adviser for the Global Social Media Management Association™ (GSMMA), which offers resources and certification for social media managers.

Sponsor: Jessica Warren, Harrisburg Academy

Harrisburg Academy is an independent, coed, diverse school community that challenges and inspires students from preschool through 12th grade. An IB World School, we are the only school in the greater Harrisburg, PA, area to offer an established International Baccalaureate Diploma Program and merit scholarship.

We help our students to learn, explore, and discover who they are and how they can become active and contributing members of a global society. From these core values – individual worth and civic responsibility – stems our single-minded mission.
